Quang
Ninh is rich with economic and tourist potential. Aiming to use
all kinds of potential sources to industrialize and modernize, the
leaders of the province have applied an integrated set of measures
to attract foreign investment capital. There
are currently 41 licensed projects with an invested capital of $US
255 million until November 2002. Of this, the tourism field makes
up 26%; the industry, construction and transport fields make up
72%; and the agriculture, forestry and fishing realms total just
2%. Aiming
to foster a more attractive environment for foreign investors,
leaders of the province have set forth directions to implement
state regulations related to foreign investment, and at the same
time, issue documents to help stimulate foreign cooperation.
