Besides
favourable conditions of sea resources, abundant manpower as
mentioned above, Quang Ninh has also potential for cultivated
agricultural land and forestland. The entire province has 601,000
ha of land including 57,364 ha of cultivating agricultural land,
342,557 ha of deserted land (236,483 ha of land improved for use),
196,019 ha of forest land suitable for planting grass for feeding
industry, around 20,000 ha suitable for planting fruit trees
(litchi, pineapple, orange, banana, mango, etc.), 44,000 ha of
tidal areas convenient for aquaculture. Quang Ninh is also nearby
material supplying areas for processing industry of agricultural,
forestry, aquatic products from neighbour agricultural provinces
such as Hải Dương, Bắc Ninh, Bắc
Giang, Thái B́nh, Hà Nam,...
