With
advantages of transportation, especially sea and river ports as
well as international border gates, Quang Ninh has in full all
necessary conditions to found concentrated industrial zones,
export processing zones. According to the provincial master plan,
at present Quang Ninh has Cái Lân concentrated industrial zone
(next to Cái Lân Port) which is 78 ha in stage I, and 150 ha in
stage II, Móng Cái border gate economic zone. Currently, Quang
Ninh is planning Việt Hưng industrial zone (10 km away
from Cái Lân Port), Đông Triều industrial zone and
others located along National Highway 18A.
