Quảng Ninh’s sea has abundant resources, with many kinds of fish
and shrimp, and products of high economic value for either
domestic use or export. Over recent years,
Quảng

equipment. Modernization has raised the output of the profession,
while the occupation of growing and planting products on the coast
has also developed. The

Trà Cô (Móng Cái Town) border to China toward Hà Nam Island

excavations in many archaeological sites in the Ha Long region
show that the fisheries profession may have appeared between 6,000
and 7,000 years ago. Finds include net-sinkers made of terra cotta
and hooks and needles made of bone from the Soi Nhụ, Thoi Giếng,
Ngọc Vừng cultures. Today, these can be found in the Quảng Ninh
Museum.
